Troubleshooting

The following provides some general troubleshooting tips and information to help you get back on track.

RAID Troubleshooting

Make sure that all cables and the monitor are connected. The monitor should be connected to the appliance during the boot process to track the log messages to determine if there is a problem with the RAIDs.

This should prevent all other system services that use the storage disk from booting unless the storage is actually mounted.

If this was not successful, an error message in the front id displayed: “ERROR: RAID not mounted”.

Factory Reset in Case: Start Up Not Successful

There may be inconveniences with the factory reset if DHCP configuration is disabled on the appliance and a static IP is configured.

Direct access to the front panel of the appliance is required to adjust the settings accordingly. Information about how operate the display see Set up IP Address.

  1. Navigate to Factory Reset on the display.

  2. Factory Reset
    press ✔️ to confirm.

  3. Security query:
    Factory Reset Yes/No?
    press ✔️ to confirm.
    The display shows
    Factory Reset
    please wait….. this can take a little while.

  4. Next the appliance starts to reboot.
    The display will change to
    Device
    booting…….. this can take a little while.
    Booting will run into a timeout after about 5 minutes.

  5. Navigate to Edit IPv4
    press ✔️ to confirm.

  6. The display shows
    IPv4: DHCP *
    cancel save
    Navigate to
    IPv4: static
    cancel edit
    press ✔️ to confirm.

  7. The display shows
    * IP Address *
    192.168.xxx.xxx
    adjust the static IP using the up/down arrows and Apply.

  8. Navigate to Gateway Prefix on the display.
    Adjust accordingly and Apply.

  9. Navigate to Prefix on the display.
    Adjust accordingly and Apply.

  10. Press the Power button.

  11. The display changes to
    [x] Shutdown
    [ ] Reboot, mark Reboot.

  12. Security query:
    Reboot Yes/No?
    press ✔️ to confirm
    Rebooting may take a little while.

  13. The display will change to:
    Device
    booting……..


After booting is completed the front display of the Appliance displays the OTP.
