Restore from a Backup
The Backup and Restore tabs alternate with each other. They share the space of a single tab.
As soon as the initialization of the HSM is complete, the Backup tab replaces the Restore tab.
If the appliance has been set to the Alarm or Factory Reset state, the tab changes its name to Restore.
Prerequisites
The Next Generation Hardware Appliance needs to be in Alarm or Factory Reset State.
A connected PIN Pad to perform interactions with the HSM restore.
To restore the Next Generation Hardware Appliance from a backup, this step naturally requires that a backup has been created and saved in the past.
