Create a Support Package

Support packages include a snapshot of the relevant Software Appliance log files and additional configuration and debugging details.

To create Software Appliance support packages:

  1. Log in to your Software Appliance and open the Settings page.
  2. In the section Support Packages, click Create Support Package.
  3. The new support package will be created as a ZIP archive. It will then appear in the list of support packages:


The following information and options are displayed:

  • Name: This column contains the name of the ZIP archive and the time when the support package was requested.
  • Actions: This column contains the available support package actions:
    • Download: Click to download and save the support package.
    • Remove: Click to remove the support package from the list.

Create HSM Log

The Software Appliance provides the ability to create an HSM support package that contains a log file with important information about the currently configured HSM.
This functionality is available only if you have configured an HSM on the Software Appliance.

To create an HSM Log support package:

  1. Log in to your Software Appliance and open the Settings page.
  2. In the section Support Packages, click Create HSM Log.
  3. The new HSM support package will be created as a ZIP archive. It then appears in the support packages list:


The following information and options are displayed:

  • Name: This column contains the name of the ZIP archive and the time when the HSM support package was requested.
  • Actions: This column contains the available HSM support package actions:
    • Download: Click to download and save the HSM support package.
    • Remove: Click to remove the HSM support package from the list.
