General Operations
When you log in to the Software Appliance, it opens with the Overview page. Use this page and the menu bar to access all operations available for the Software Appliance.
The following options are available.
Overview
This page offers you a concise overview of the central aspects of the Software Appliance. Use the options to switch directly to the most important operations:
- Click Configure Services to switch to the Services page.
- Click Configure HSM to switch to the Security page.
- Click Configure Database to switch to the Applications page.
- Click any of the menu options described below to go to the respective pages.
Network
The Network configuration tab contains three sub sections:
Click this menu entry to switch to the Network page with the following option:
Detailed network configuration
Use the Terminal UI of the Software Appliance for more detailed network configuration settings.
- Configuring the Software Appliance hostname (FQDN)
- Configuring the Network Interface
- Configuring a Nameserver
Security
Click this menu entry to switch to the Security page with the following options:
- TLS Configuration
- Hardware Security Module (HSM) Configuration
Services
Click this menu entry to switch to the Services page with the following options:

Click this menu entry to switch to the Cluster page with the following options:
Applications
Click this menu entry to switch to the Applications page with the following options:
Access
Click this menu entry to switch to the Access page with the following options:
- Managing user accounts:
- Managing trusted CAs
- Managing platform settings
Settings
Click this menu entry to switch to the Settings page with the following options:
- Configuring NTP Server
- Configuring SMTP Settings
- Creating support packages of the Software Appliance
- License Management
Attention!
It is important that you always shut down the operating system properly. Never simply switch off the device. If the device is merely switched off, there is a risk of data loss.
