Configure Dynamic IPv4 and/or IPv6 Addresses via DHCP
Configure Dynamic IPv4 and/or IPv6 Addresses via DHCP
You can always go back from static IPv4/IPv6 addresses to using a DHCP server for dynamic IP addresses. Proceed as follows:
- Open the Terminal UI. The Status overview will be displayed.
- Use the arrow and ENTER keys to navigate to the Network Settings.
- Navigate to the desired IP protocol, that is, IPv4 or IPv6.
- Activate the option Obtain IPv4 (or IPv6) from DHCP Server.
- Confirm your changes with < Save changes >.
The network will then be reconfigured. This process takes about 30 seconds.
