Possible States of the Next Generation Hardware Appliance
The Next Generation Hardware Appliance can be in one of the four following states at a time:

Alarm State
To enter the Alarm State press the External Erase button on the back of the appliance.
This will delete all key material on the HSM.
Operational
This state is reached, if the HSM is configured and is working as expected with its application.
