Hardware Appliance 3.17 Release Notes

DECEMBER 2025

We are pleased to announce the release of the EJBCA Hardware Appliance and SignServer Hardware Appliance version 3.17.0.

The release brings new updated versions of EJBCA Enterprise and SignServer Enterprise.

New versions of EJBCA Enterprise and SignServer Enterprise

EJBCA Enterprise 9.4.2

The appliance now includes EJBCA Enterprise 9.4.2. For details on new features and changes, refer to the EJBCA Release Notes.

SignServer Enterprise 7.5.0

The appliance now includes SignServer Enterprise 7.5.0. For more information about new features and fixes, refer to the SignServer Release Notes.

Database stack updates

The database stack has been updated to incorporate the latest maintenance versions:

• MariaDB Server upgraded to 10.6.23.

• MariaDB JDBC driver (Connector/J) upgraded to 3.5.6.

These updates bring security fixes and stability improvements.

Security hardening

The SSH configuration on the appliance has been hardened:

• Removal of SHA-1–based algorithms from the SSH configuration to align with current cryptographic best practices.

These changes reduce exposure to legacy algorithms that are no longer recommended.
