Trident HSM

Trident HSM is a hardware security module, developed by i4p, designed to perform sensitive cryptographic tasks and to securely manage cryptographic keys and data. For more information, refer to the i4p website.

Integration

The Trident HSM can be used as a hardware security module for an EJBCA (Community or Enterprise) installation.

For step-by-step instructions on how to integrate EJBCA and Trident HSM, refer to the ip4 PrimeKey EJBCA –Trident HSM Integration Guide.

Note that the integration guide applies for EJBCA Community 6.15.2.1. As of EJBCA 7.4.3, default properties are included in the EJBCA configuration files to ease the configuration and automatically find the Trident HSM driver installed on the system. Updating the conf/web.properties file in step 4 - Installation of the integration guide is therefore not needed (if default locations are used).
