Factory Reset on Appliance with Luna S790
Factory reset deletes all partitions and their contents and resets all roles and policy configurations to the factory default values.
To put the HSM back into operation, the HSM must be completely reconfigured.
There are two options to perform a reset for the Next Generation Hardware Appliance.
However, physical access to the Next Generation Hardware Appliance is always required.
After the reboot process a new OTP User is displayed on the front panel of the appliance.
First the HSM must be reset. For further information refer to HSM Reset.
After the HSM has been reset the Factory Reset option is available and is shown on the front display and in webconf.

Factory Reset via Webconf
Log in to the Next Generation Hardware Appliance.
An HSM Alarm is displayed in the Overview in webconf.Open the Settings page.
In the section Factory Reset, click Erase All Data and Reset to Factory Settings.
A warning appears:
Check mark: Yes, I want to reset this Appliance to factory settings
To confirm click: Execute Factory Reset
This process will take a couple of minutes.The appliance will reboot as part of the factory reset process.
The new OTP User is shown on display of the front panel.
