PIN Pad

For successful operations with the PIN Pad, it is necessary to have an up-to-date PIN Pad connected to the appliance.
An old PIN Pad may result in the following error message from Webconf:
You are using an unsupported PIN pad. Please use the one delivered with the appliance.

Overview of the PIN Pad

The following illustrates the front view of the PIN Pad.

The socket for USB communication and power supply is located on the left-hand narrow side of the PIN Pad.

If the PIN Pad transaction is interrupted for a period of about 90 seconds, the PIN Pad will automatically switch to a time-out status.

View PIN Pad Information

To display information about the connected PIN Pad via Webconf, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Next Generation Hardware Appliance.

  2. Locate information about the connected PIN Pad on:

    • Overview page: In the Device Overview section.

    • Security page: In the Smart Card Management section.
